Southern Stars of Tourism

Shining a Light on Hobart & Beyond

Southern Stars of Tourism brings together our industry in a celebration of all the great things being done in our region to develop and promote tourism.

Scroll down for details on the five Star categories which recognise our industry’s commitment to innovation and excellence to deliver great visitor experiences.

The nomination process for entry is simple (maximum 300 word description needed) with a great range of prizes to be won.  Winners were announced at the Southern Stars of Tourism Gala on 5 April 2017, and are listed below.

Prizes are specifically selected to help winners develop themselves or their businesses further and include advertising air time and print space; media training; a voucher for the brand new Federal Group hotel, Macq01; and an industry reconnaissance trip to the Geelong/Bellarine region. A big thank you to our prize sponsors: Southern Cross Television, The Mercury, M&M Communications, Macq01, Avalon Airport, Tourism Greater Geelong and the Bellarine and Tourism Brochure Exchange. Thanks must also go to our event sponsor: the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.

Our aim is to celebrate, recognise and encourage industry leadership and excellence within southern Tasmania.

Congratulations to all the Southern Superstars!
