Wattlebanks originated from a desire to showcase Tasmanian produce to both local residents and visitors of Tasmania. The business was established by sibling owners, Rod Dann and Katrina Williams. It began as a food van servicing a number of Tasmania’s premier summer and winter festivals and markets. Over time, the scope of the business has expanded significantly. This includes mobile catering services for weddings and events. Notably, in 2019, the doors of Wattlebanks Café and Providore opened in the picturesque Coal River Valley, located at Richmond. This was followed by another exciting development in late 2020, with the inauguration of the new Wattlebanks Coastal Café & Providore in Orford. Additionally, from an initial concept hatched during the Covid-19 lockdown, a new service dubbed “Wattlebanks @ Home” was introduced in 2022. This innovative service provides a range of freshly prepared, ready-to-eat meals for convenient home delivery or pickup from either of Wattlebanks cafés.

Nestled in Oatlands, Tasmania, the Callington Mill Distillery is a beacon of innovation and heritage. Celebrated whiskey writer, Charles MacLean, heralded it as the dawn of a new era in Australian whiskey. Far beyond just a whisky producer, our distillery epitomizes the perfect blend of age-old tradition and contemporary brilliance. A visit to Callington Mill isn’t merely an excursion; it’s an immersion into a world where past meets present. From our pioneering “Serendipity Experience,” allowing guests to craft their unique Single Malt, to our distinction as Tasmania’s first fully automated whisky distillery, we’ve seamlessly integrated cutting-edge technology within the historic charm of a windmill. Backed by numerous awards and driven by a team passionate about educating and enchanting our visitors, Callington Mill stands as not just a distillery but the heart and soul of Oatlands’ rich tapestry.

The story of Hellfire begins in the potato fields of the Daly family farm on the rugged south east coast of Tasmania, overlooking the rocky outcrop of Hellfire Bluff. It’s not your usual distillery origin story but when the family followed their dream to produce unique spirits and chased their passion to value-add to the potatoes they proudly grow for Tassie supermarkets, the distillery was founded, launching with one of the few vodka’s in Australia to be made from potato. As their passion for producing premium spirits grew, so did the Hellfire range – expanding to include handcrafted Gin’s, Liqueur’s, RTD’s and cool climate Rum. All products are made with a focus on quality ingredients and using pristine local Tasmanian rainwater collected on the farm. Hellfire Bluff Distillery spirits truly are a reflection of the pristine surroundings and raw beauty Tasmania has to offer.
