Kinetic has introduced two new custom-wrapped coaches to operate under a decade-long contract with Australian Pacific Touring (APT), highlighting Tasmania’s iconic Cradle Mountain as part of a special livery.
These vibrant, eye-catching coaches are set to bring Tasmania’s landscapes to life on the road and will enhance the travel experience for guests exploring the region.
Through this strategic partnership, Kinetic and APT aim to deliver 14-day guided tours across Tasmania, catering to approximately 1,600 travellers each year.
With 36 tours scheduled during the high season, running through to April 2025, this collaboration represents a significant boost for Tasmanian tourism, supporting local businesses and showcasing key attractions.
An exciting part of this venture is the role of coach captain Dorrie Langdale, Tasmania’s first known female coach captain.
Dorrie, who began her career as a bus driver in Kinetic’s public transport operations on the Gold Coast, quickly discovered her passion for charter tours and made the move to Tasmania to pursue her dream. Now, she navigates Tasmania’s stunning routes with skill and enthusiasm, guiding visitors through some of the state’s most celebrated landscapes.
Dorrie has already led three tours this season, earning high praise for her driving expertise, insightful guidance, and attentive customer care. Her role not only elevates the guest experience but also represents an inspiring milestone for women in the transport industry.
Kinetic’s investment in new vehicles and skilled personnel reflects its commitment to delivering high-quality, immersive tourism experiences in Tasmania, and its partnership with APT further positions Tasmania as a premier destination for travel. Together, Kinetic and APT continue to drive forward the appeal of Tasmania, inviting visitors to discover its breathtaking scenery, welcoming communities, and rich heritage.
