Celebrate Autumn at Rathmore During the Tasmanian Autumn Festival

This April, Rathmore—an elegant c1828 heritage-listed property just an hour from Hobart—will host a series of rustic Easter lunches as part of the Tasmanian Autumn Festival 2025.

Set against the vibrant colours of the Central Highlands, and Derwent Valley, these events offer an immersive regional experience celebrating local flavours, sustainability, and rural charm.

Easter Feasts with Heart and History

Held on Good Friday (18 April), Easter Sunday (20 April), and Wednesday (23 April), Rathmore’s long-table lunches invite guests to savour home-cooked paella, mulled wine, and Simnel cake, with live music in a setting rich in story and character. Visitors are also invited to stay on-site with a special Tasmanian Autumn Festival offer—stay two nights and pay for just one when attending any ticketed TAF event. Each stay includes a gourmet breakfast basket and the chance to spot resident platypuses in the Dew Rivulet.

A Month of Autumn Adventures

Beyond Rathmore, the wider Tasmanian Autumn Festival features hands-on experiences across the region, including:

  • Blacksmithing with 28 Gates

  • Paint and Sip sessions at Curringa Farm

  • Pottery workshops

  • Perfume making

Together, these experiences showcase the creativity and community spirit of Southern Tasmania’s inland heartlands.
