Destination Southern Tasmania is pleased to announce the winners of the Paint The Town Red photography competition for the year 2023.
Alex Heroys, the CEO of Destination Southern Tasmania, commended the exceptionally high calibre of entries received this year.
“We have carefully counted the public votes and have deliberated the DST award. We are delighted to announce Cam Blake as the winner, whose awe-inspiring photograph of Callington Mill in Oatlands received the highest amount of votes. Cam received 176 public votes for his image, making him the winner of the competition this year” Mr. Heroys stated.
Acknowledging the remarkable talent demonstrated by participants, the second prize was awarded to Abbas Taqvi for his photograph of the Tasman Bridge. Abbas received 135 public votes for his image. Additionally, Destination Southern Tasmania bestowed the DST Award to Simon Gregory for his capture of the underneath the Tasman Bridge.
Furthermore, we are thrilled to announce Carmel Denholm as the recipient of the public voting prize. Carmel has won a “Mona like a Rock Star Experience,” and was randomly selected from the public voting pool.
