Australia’s toughest mountain biking event is set to return to Southern Tasmania, with Red Bull Hardline locking in dates for 7–8 February 2026 at Maydena Bike Park.
The 2026 event promises to be bigger than ever, with a newly designed top section of the course ready to push riders to their limits. For the first time, spectators will have access to the entire track, with mountain shuttles available to reach the summit. Off the track, Maydena Bike Park will host an expanded entertainment and riding program, making it a full weekend of action for riders and fans alike.
Recognising the challenges of reaching Maydena, organisers have introduced a range of options to make the event more accessible. Ticket holders will be able to secure camping just 10 minutes from the venue, book direct shuttles from Hobart to Maydena, and access discounted accommodation in Hobart.
Red Bull Hardline Tasmania 2026 will mark the 12th edition of the race since its beginnings in the Welsh hills in 2014, and the third year that Tasmania has played host. The action kicks off with seeding runs on Saturday 7 February, followed by the final showdown on Sunday 8 February.
Widely regarded as the most progressive downhill mountain bike event in the world, Hardline attracts the best male and female riders to tackle Maydena’s steep terrain, huge drops, and gap jumps. At the 2025 edition, Canada took out both titles, with Jackson Goldstone and Gracey Hemstreet claiming victory, while local favourite Dan Booker was voted Rider of the Week.
This invite-only event will once again see elite international riders line up alongside some of Tasmania and Australia’s top mountain bikers, cheered on by thousands of spectators in what promises to be the most exciting edition yet.
