Southern Tasmania’s leading wine festival returns from 31 October to 2 November 2025, with Spring in the Vines bringing together the region’s premium cool-climate wine producers for a weekend of wine, food, music, and discovery.
A Festival Born from Collaboration
Since its launch in 2020, Spring in the Vines has become a cornerstone of Tasmania’s events calendar, uniting diverse wine districts in a celebration of cool-climate excellence. The festival is presented by Wine South Tasmania, a not-for-profit collective of producers dedicated to showcasing the region’s world-class wines and the people behind them.
Wine South President, Mark McNamara, says the event highlights the authenticity of the southern wine community:
“Spring in the Vines is an event not to be missed by Tasmanians and visitors alike. It’s about celebrating the season’s new releases and giving people the chance to meet producers who often don’t open their doors to the public.”

Design Your Own Wine Trail
Over the three days, participating vineyards will be open from 10 am to 6 pm, encouraging visitors to design their own wine adventure. Whether exploring one region in depth, following a favourite variety, or seeking family-friendly experiences, Spring in the Vines offers something for everyone.
Exclusive experiences available only across the festival weekend include vineyard tours, food pairings, and live music. With access to both established cellar doors and boutique producers rarely open to the public, the festival provides an unmatched opportunity to experience Southern Tasmania’s wine landscape in all its variety.
