Tasmania’s favourite Summer Garden Party announces a huge 2025 line-up…
The popular Tasmanian Wine Festival returns to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens this summer, offering wine lovers a chance to sip some of the state’s best wines in an amazing setting. After multiple sold out sessions in previous years, the sixth annual event will run on February 8 & 9, 2025.
Returning favourites include over 35 Tasmanian vineyards and winemakers, a specially curated food selection from our finest producers and a great line-up of entertainment.
Tasmanian Wine Festival’s Luke Schlenner:
“The summer festival has been growing year on year and we’re thrilled to be bringing the biggest event to date this February. Not only does the festival showcase Tasmania’s worldclass wine makers, wine lovers get to pair our great Tassie wines with a curated food selection and live entertainment in the stunning backdrop of the Botanical Gardens. ”
Also announced today, Melbourne Ska Orchestra is set to headline the event at all three sessions. The 22 piece contains some of Australia’s finest musicians and performers. Helmed by the energetic and charismatic Nicky Bomba (John Butler Trio, Bustamento), they’re more than just a band, they are a funloving experience to behold.
Nicky Bomba says:
“Melbourne Ska Orchestra is all about bringing people together and what better to do that
than great music, tasty food & a great drop of Tassie vino! We’re really excited to be bringing our signature “International Ska” sound to the Tasmanian Wine Festival and to share some of our musical adventures from around the world”
Established in 2020, the annual Tasmanian Wine Festival brings our state’s premium wine to the forefront for a bespoke celebration experience.
“We’re proud to be part of the Tasmanian Wine Festival from the very beginning. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase the best of Tasmania’s winemaking talent and celebrate the incredible diversity of our region. Sharing our wines in such a beautiful setting, with food and music to match, makes this event truly one-of-a-kind.” Says Shelley Bickerstaff, Frogmore Creek
Some of the best Tassie foodies will compliment your drop of choice with delicious food. Perhaps some cheese to enjoy with your sparkling, a burger or pizza with your red or some freshly shucked oysters with your white. Tasmanian Wine Festival favourites returning to the event also include Josef Chromy, Derwent Estate, Clover Hill, Pooley, Nocton Vineyard, Velo Wines, Milton, Gala Estate, Small Island Wines, Derwent Estate, Torch Bearer Wines and many more yet to be announced.
Wine lovers are invited to discover the very best of Tasmanian wine and food in the beautiful Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 February 2025.
