The Off Season campaign returns for the cooler months in 2024 to drive winter visitation and encourage Australians to book a winter holiday with a difference.
Tourism Tasmania is once again asking operators to get behind the Off Season and create a special winter offer for visitors. By presenting creative and unique experiences to visitors that can only be enjoyed in the Off Season, we have the opportunity to encourage Australians to embrace the cold and change the way Australians think about a winter holiday.
Off Season planning starts a lot earlier this year. Tourism Tasmania’s research tells them that 3â6 months lead time is what prospective visitors need to book their next trip.
This year Tourism Tasmania are offering a special Offers Support Program to help you create and elevate your Off Season offer.
Learn more about the program below.
NEW! Offers Support Program:
Ahead of the Off Season 2024 campaign, Tourism Tasmania has developed a one-off industry support program to help elevate offers from the industry throughout the winter.
The support program is designed to assist tourism operators in developing and marketing their special winter offerings. The support may include one or a combination of the following:
- Assistance in creating an Off Season offer through one-on-one supportÂ
- Expert copywriting and editing to communicate your offer in the best light to visitorsÂ
- A professional photography session to provide high resolution images of your offerÂ
- Digital support to ensure visitors can easily find information or book the offer on your websiteÂ
- Advice on how best to leverage the Off Season campaign.Â
To receive FREE support under this program, submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) via the Tourism Tasmania website.
EOIs will close on Sunday 17 December 2023.
Tourism Tasmania would like to help as many operators as they can, however, it may not be possible for them to provide support to every applicant.
EOIs will be assessed by a panel and successful applicants will be advised during December 2023. The support program will be delivered in January, February and March 2024.
For further information on the Off Season and the Offers Support Program, including assessment considerations and the EOI form, please visit the Tourism Tasmania website.
Note: To be part of the Off Season program, you must have an Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) profile to enter the details of your offer. If you don’t have a profile yet, please set one up here.
