Red Bull Hardline’s defending champions are confirmed to return to lutruwita/Tasmania for the 2026 edition of the world’s most daring downhill event.
Jackson Goldstone and Gracey Hemstreet will line up once again at Maydena Bike Park on 7–8 February, ready to defend their Tasmanian titles against a field stacked with the sport’s biggest names.
Joining them are the full slate of 2025 podium finishers, including Asa Vermette, Troy Brosnan, Charlie Hatton, Rónán Dunne and Lou Ferguson—bringing a world-class roster back to Southern Tasmania for the third Australian running of Red Bull Hardline.
With more riders still to be announced, the final line-up will showcase the very best downhill talent on the planet as they take on Maydena’s brutal terrain.
The 2026 course is getting a significant overhaul too—returning to its pure downhill racing roots with a brand-new top section designed to push riders’ technical precision at speeds exceeding 80 km/h. For spectators, this year brings a major bonus: access to the full length of the track for an up-close look at every high-stakes moment.
Tasmania’s Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events, Jane Howlett, said the event continues to reinforce Tasmania’s global status as a mountain biking powerhouse.
“Events like Red Bull Hardline add to Tasmania’s huge international reputation as home to one of the world’s premier mountain bike networks,” Minister Howlett said.
“The best of Tasmania will be beamed to people across the globe when the top riders in the world, along with thousands of spectators, descend on Maydena Bike Park in February. Red Bull Hardline has secured a place on the must-do list for hundreds of competitors, and we can’t wait to host them again.”

About Red Bull Hardline
Hard by name and hard by nature, Red Bull Hardline is widely regarded as the toughest and most progressive downhill mountain bike race in the world. The event returns to both Tasmania and Wales’ Dyfi Valley in 2026. Designed by Dan Atherton, the course blends steep, technical downhill sections with massive freeride-style jumps, pushing even the strongest riders to the limit.
Red Bull Hardline consists of two standalone events and is not a series.
