Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Who Can Join?

Membership is open to any relevant business to the visitor economy in Tasmania.

2. Member Benefits

As a member, you’ll gain access to marketing opportunities, networking events, industry insights, advocacy representation, and other exclusive benefits outlined in our membership prospectus.

3. Membership Fees & Payments

Membership fees are reviewed annually by our board and are payable once a year.

3.1 If You Miss a Payment

If your membership fees aren’t paid on time:

  • You may be given a 14-day extension to make the payment.
  • If payment isn’t received within 30 days, your membership may be automatically cancelled, and you’ll need to reapply and pay any outstanding fees to rejoin.

3.2 Auto-Renewals & Subscription

When you sign up as a member online, you agree to automatic membership renewal (via Stripe Payment Gateway).

  • Your membership will renew automatically yearly unless you opt out before your renewal date.
  • Your credit card (stored securely via Stripe) will be charged the current renewal fee for your membership level.
  • To cancel your auto-renewal, update payment details, or adjust your membership level, please log in to Stripe.

4. Using Our Branding

Current financial members can use the Destination Southern Tasmania’s member logos. Any other use of Hobart and Beyond or DST branding must be negotiated with DST.

5. Attending Events

Event participation is subject to availability and any specific event terms. Cancellation policies may apply.

6. Staying in the Loop

By becoming a member, you agree to receive updates from Destination Southern Tasmania about industry news, events, and opportunities. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time. 

7. Voting in the AGM

The person who originally signed up for the membership is the designated voting representative. They will receive a link to vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) unless we’re notified in writing of an alternative representative.

8. Updates to Terms & Conditions

We may update these terms and conditions as needed. If there are significant changes, we’ll notify members.

9. Cancelling Your Membership

Membership can be cancelled by either party with written notice. Membership fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
