Welcome
Thank you for becoming a valued member of Destination Southern Tasmania (DST), your local regional tourism organisation. We look forward to working with you, and learning about your business.
As a member of Destination Southern Tasmania, you will receive an account to log in to this website. You will have access to further resources from the Members section, the Stripe Subscription Portal link, and more. Over the coming days, keep an eye out for further communications from DST, including your login details, welcome email, and membership certificate.
You can access this page again from within the Member Section of this website.
Mentorship & Kickstart meeting
You are welcome (and encouraged) to use our DST team as a mentor or sounding board. If you have any ideas you’d like to discuss or a new project you’d like some fresh eyes to review, just let us know.
Don’t forget we are also a good resource for helping you connect to other stakeholders who may be interested in working with you.
Industry News
Highlands to Harbours is our monthly industry newsletter, a great source of important industry news, funding opportunities, and a listing of upcoming events. We will ensure your email address is listed as a marketing contact in our database to receive our industry news & networking opportunities.
If you’d like to add additional team members to receive our newsletters, please add them via the newsletter page.
Members Facebook Group
Another great way to connect and share news is our Operator Facebook Group.
It’s a closed group where our members can post updates, news, photos, introduce new owners/staff members, new tours, etc. It’s also a forum where you can get advice or feedback from your industry peers.
625+ local Southern Tasmania operators are members of this page.
Tips and Tipples, Showcase & Educational Events
Damian Mather, our Industry Development Coordinator (damian@southerntasmania.com.au), manages these events.
Throughout the year, we connect members with discounted training sessions, networking and a Showcase hosted by DST and/or our partners.
These educational workshops and events are focused on building better businesses and align with the main principles of the state-wide visitor economy strategy.
Tips and Tipples are our monthly networking events that generally include a guest speaker on a topic relevant to the tourism industry and are hosted at one of our member venues.
Social Media and Marketing
Our Marketing Coordinator Darren Wright (darren@southerntasmania.com.au) is based here in the south of the State and is available to share his expertise and advice if and when required.
If you have any media-worthy stories, we can also help with any future media releases and their distribution to local media channels.
DST is always interested in your industry updates. Completing the form lets us know what’s happening in your business or region. Your news and information may be shared with Tourism Tasmania and throughout the DST social, email and web channels.
Get your ATDW Business Listing
DST encourages all local tour operators like yourself to create a listing on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW), Australia’s most extensive national database for tourism products.
Keeping your listing consistently active is key to ongoing engagement and exposure.
