The cornerstone of this eco-friendly endeavour is the retirement of their previous hybrid vehicle, making way for a brand-new electric vehicle. This move underscores their resolute commitment to minimising their carbon footprint. By transitioning to electric vehicles, they reduce their reliance on traditional fossil fuels and pave the way for a more environmentally responsible and resilient hospitality industry.
Complementing this shift, Oceana B&B has installed cutting-edge EV charging facilities on its premises, ensuring that guests with electric vehicles can easily and conveniently recharge during their stay. Recognising the increasing popularity of electric vehicles and the importance of facilitating their use, these charging stations are designed to enhance the overall experience for our guests while promoting the adoption of sustainable transportation solutions.
This ambitious initiative has been made possible through the invaluable support of the Tasmanian Government’s Tourism Emissions Reduction Grant Program, administered by the Department of State Growth.
