Destination Southern Tasmania CEO Alex Heroys said the CRAVE Harvest Festival is a showcase of the wonderful produce, people and places of the Coal River Valley region.
Crave Harvest Festival
6th and 7th April 2024. 6 Morgan Street, Richmond. Coal River Valley
“The CRAVE Harvest Festival is a wonderful representation of the fine produce in the Coal Rover Valley, showcased in an inclusive family friendly environment,” Mr Heroys said.
“The two-day festival brings together several elements for which Tasmania is revered worldwide – fresh produce, artisan production, distilling and community.
“We expect Tasmanians and visitors to descend on the Coal River Valley on April 6-7 at Richmond Park.”
Mr Heroys said the event is organised by the Coal River Valley Tasmania Tourism Association (CRVTTA), a dedicated group of volunteers who are passionate about the produce and people of the valley.
“The festival will showcase the many high-quality producers who call the valley home. There will also be musical performances from local entertainers and a family-friendly kids’ zone.
“As a nominated wine region, there is, of course, a focus on the award-winning wineries, but also distillers, food producers, growers and makers who will surprise and delight all with their bespoke offerings.”
Clarence City Council Mayor, Councillor Brendan Blomeley said he was really excited to be welcoming the inaugural Crave Harvest Festival to Clarence and the Coal River Valley.
“We know the produce of the Coal River Valley region is world-class and it’s fantastic to see it all showcased in this new festival,” Mayor Blomeley said.
“Clarence City Council is fully supportive of the Coal River Valley Tasmania Tourism Association and the wonderful volunteers that are working behind the scenes to bring this festival to life.
“I encourage everyone to get their tickets and attend the two-day Crave Harvest Festival to taste, sip, and try all the Festival has to offer. “
CRVTTA President Katrina Williams said “Over 30 businesses will be showcasing the incredible produce of the Coal River Valley from cheese to chocolate, wine to spirits; there will be something for everyone. Families will be excited by a dedicated kids’ zone and activities; for adults, there is a curated live music program on both days. The Harvey Norman Masterclass marquee will feature behind-the-scenes cheese making, hosted tastings and cooking demonstrations.”
The Tasman Bridge will light up in autumn orange from April 2-6 to celebrate the Crave Harvest Festival.
