Destination Southern Tasmania was proud to support the Tourism Industry Council Tasmania’s (TICT) recent launch of additional Tassie Tourism Ambassador Program modules in nipaluna/Hobart.
This program equips tourism staff and interested locals with the skills and local knowledge needed to offer a memorable experience to visitors while showcasing the unique stories of their regions.
TICT announce the launch of the Hobart & Surrounds and South East destination modules, adding to the seven existing destination and sector-specific modules. More modules will be introduced by TICT throughout the year. TICT extended their gratitude to everyone involved in creating the modules, including Andy Crawford from Walk on kunanyi, Tory Stewart from Roaring 40s Kayaking (pictured below), and HYPE TV for their production work.
The Tassie Tourism Ambassador Program is free and easy to join. Participants watch a series of videos, read online content, and answer a short questionnaire. Upon completion, participants receive an official e-certificate and badge to display and wear proudly.
Becoming a Tassie ambassador is a simple and quick way for everyone to help encourage visitors to explore the entire state. Positive interactions and warm welcomes at every touchpoint during a visitor’s stay create memorable experiences they will likely share with others.
