Australian Tourism Accreditation Program

The Tourism Industry Council Tasmania (TICT) delivers the Australian Tourism Accreditation Program in Tasmania.

Australian Tourism Accreditation is suitable for all tourism and hospitality business types and sizes. This nationally recognised program not only provides a framework for new business development, it works with you to encourage business quality and continual improvement on an ongoing basis.

TICT offers Accredited Tourism businesses with opportunities to engage in training and development, networking and marketing, and take advantage of exclusive deals and discounts.

The Quality Tourism Framework (QTF) is a business pathway to support the continuous growth and development of Australia’s tourism industry.

TICT Tourism Accreditation

Four levels of accreditation are available within the Quality Tourism Framework, aligned with key learning and development stages.

Level 1 – Quality Tourism Essentials 

Level 2 – Sustainable Tourism (QTAB Sustainable)

Level 3 – Digital Distribution Marketing Essentials

Level 4 – Trade Marketing Boost (International Marketing)

As well as general business accreditation, the program also includes the following modules

  • Accommodation Star Ratings
  • Bike Friendly Business Accreditation
  • Eco-Star (Sustainable Tourism)
  • Accessible Tourism

Destination Southern Tasmania – Ultimate Member

The Tasmanian tourism industry acknowledges the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita /Tasmania.

As a tourism industry that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.

We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands.

We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
