Local Tourism Associations

Our goal is to enhance the capacity of the tourism industry and ensure that local communities receive the maximum benefits from tourism activities.

Destination Southern Tasmania is committed to supporting and collaborating with Local Tourism Associations (LTAs) in southern Tasmania.

To achieve this, we have established close working relationships with several LTAs, including Far South Tasmania, Derwent Valley Tasmania, Bruny Island Tourism, Huon Valley Tourism Network, Tasman Business and Tourism Association, and Coal River Valley Tasmania Tourism Association. Through these partnerships, we work together to identify and address the unique needs and challenges of each region while also promoting the entire Southern Tasmania area as a premier tourist destination.

We encourage our members to become involved with their local LTA, allowing them to actively shape the tourism industry and drive positive economic growth in their communities. By working with LTAs, we can ensure that tourism benefits are distributed fairly and sustainably while fostering a sense of pride and ownership among locals for their unique natural and cultural assets.
